Terms of use
DRAFT for review before launch. Not yet checked by a solicitor.
These terms apply when you use A711 CV Match, including the free CV check and the paid full report. Please read them alongside our privacy notice. By using the service you agree to these terms.
1. About us
A711 CV Match is provided by A711 Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 14603544), registered office 21 Palmerston Road, Buckhurst Hill, IG9 5PA, United Kingdom. Contact: archer@a711.co.uk.
2. The service
- Free CV check: you paste a job spec and upload your CV. We give you a match score, the skills the role asks for that your CV does and doesn't show, a company-fit check if you name the company, and three suggestions to improve your CV for the role.
- Full report (paid): more suggestions, rewording of your headline and CV points for the role, a personal summary, the job's wording compared with yours, and advice on talking about gaps at interview.
We may change, improve or withdraw features from time to time. If we withdraw a full report you've already paid for before it's delivered, we'll refund you.
3. Results are guidance only
- Results are produced automatically, using AI. They can be incomplete or wrong. For example, a skill you have may be described differently on your CV and not be recognised.
- Company-fit information is based on general knowledge about the company and may be out of date or inaccurate.
- A high score doesn't guarantee an interview or a job, and a low score doesn't mean you shouldn't apply.
- Your CV is your responsibility. Check every suggestion before using it. Only include things that are true. Our suggestions are designed never to add skills or experience you don't have, but if any wording overstates what you've done, don't use it.
4. Using the service
You agree to:
- be 16 or over
- only upload your own CV, or one you have permission to use
- not upload anything unlawful, harmful or that contains viruses
- not try to disrupt, overload, copy or automatically scrape the service
We may suspend access if these terms are broken.
5. The full report: price, payment and cancellation
- Price: the price is shown before you unlock the report, and is the total you pay. A711 Ltd is not currently registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged.
- Payment: payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Revolut. We never see your full card details.
- What you get: a full report for the CV and job spec you checked. It's shown on screen, and you can print it or save it as a PDF. Save a copy, because it's available for a limited time after it's created.
Your right to cancel. Normally you have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content. Because the full report is created and delivered immediately, we'll ask you to agree to this when you buy, and to confirm you understand that you lose the right to cancel once the report has started being created.
If something goes wrong: if your report isn't delivered, or is faulty (for example it's blank or doesn't relate to the CV and spec you checked), email archer@a711.co.uk and we'll put it right or refund you. This doesn't affect your legal rights.
6. Simon James IT
- If you choose to save your CV, it's shared with Simon James IT Limited ("SJIT", company no. 05354768, www.sjit.co.uk), the recruitment partner of A711 Ltd, so it can contact you about relevant jobs and contract work. See our privacy notice for details.
- A711 Ltd and SJIT are separate, connected companies. A711 Ltd provides this service; any recruitment services are provided by SJIT under its own terms.
- Saving your CV is optional. SJIT doesn't charge candidates for finding them work, and buying a full report is not a condition of, and makes no difference to, any help SJIT can give you.
7. Our responsibility to you
- We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We aim to keep it available, but can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
- We're not responsible for decisions made by you, employers or recruiters based on results or reports, or for loss of job opportunities or business losses.
- For the full report, our total responsibility to you is limited to the price you paid for it.
- Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't legally be limited, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
8. Other important terms
- The service, its design and its content belong to A711 Ltd. Your CV remains yours.
- We may update these terms. The version in force when you use the service applies.
- If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
